Bellows
Both the Elizabethan and Cottage bellows are hand made by specialist craftsmen in England.
Each bellow is made from selected first quality beech hardwood. The wood is split in two so that the grain matches front to back.
The finest hides are selected and solid brass nozzles are used along with solid brass upholstery nails.
Both are without doubt a work of art and will last a lifetime.
The Elizabethan Fireside Bellows has the following dimensions: -
7 ¾” wide x 17 ½” long (19.5cm x 44.5cm)
The Cottage Fireside Bellows are longer and slightly narrower and carries an attractive horse brass decoration: -
7 ½” wide x 19 ¼” long (19cm x 49cm)
The Standard Fireside Bellows are imported and made to a lower specification. However they still look the part and function perfectly adequately in pumping air into the fire.
Dimensions are: -
7 ¾” wide x 20 ¼” long (19.5cm x 51.5cm)
No fireplace is complete without a companion set with fire tools and a pair of bellows.
This is as true for a simple hearth with a tapered Firebasket as it is for an attractive Inglenook setting.
Remember that a pair of fireside bellows is both decorative and practical for boosting a dying fire.
They are an excellent Christmas gift.
